Waitrose support for Gloucestershire beekeepers

Waitrose : Food to feel good about – as beekeepers, we know how good local honey tastes and the importance of honeybees as pollinators. Each month, every Waitrose branch donates £1,000 to a local good causes. Charities cannot apply to be selected themselves, as the charities are selected from good causes suggested by the people using the store. This month, Waitrose, and their customers, have chosen to support Gloucestershire Beekeepers Association (GBKA) as the very lucky recipient of £1000.

GBKA Chairman, Ian Hazlem, was presented with the donation today at the Cheltenham Branch of Waitrose.

We are extremely grateful and will discuss carefully how best to invest this gift for the betterment of beekeepers (and their bees!) in Gloucestershire.
